The government has received encouraging feedback from parents of children aged five to eleven years who have received coronavirus immunizations in 2019. (Covid-19).

On Friday, Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, chair of the National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC), described the overall comments on the ongoing immunization of children in 45 sites in Metro Manila, five in Central Luzon, three in Calabarzon, and one in Cotabato City as “encouraging.”

Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., the lead implementer of the National Task Force Against Covid-19, has previously stressed the importance of vaccinating kids in advance of the return of face-to-face classrooms.

According to the NVOC data, at least 52,000 children in the smallest age group had received their first dose, with five minor side effects reported.

Rashes, vomiting, and soreness in the injected location were all common side effects.

Immunization of children from five to seventeen years is permitted by the government, but only with parental consent.
