Over 22K registered voters are expected to participate in mock polls on December 29.

On Wednesday, over 22,000 registered voters will take part in mock elections in various parts of the country.

According to the latest statistics issued on Tuesday by the Commission on Elections (Comelec), a total of 34 barangays will participate in the event, which will simulate the full election process in preparation for the May 2022 polls.

The participating barangays are from Metro Manila, including Pasay and Taguig, as well as the Pateros municipality.

It will take place in the provinces of Albay, Davao del Sur, Isabela, Leyte, Maguindanao, and Negros Oriental at the same time.

The simulation will encompass 2,774 polling locations and 22,746 registered voters.

Each of the clustered precincts will be able to handle at least 500 to 600 individuals, according to the polling organization.

The event will take place from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Participants in the mock elections will be required to submit a vaccination card or an RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) test result demonstrating that they are free of coronavirus sickness in 2019. (Covid-19).

A 30-inch test ballot with fictional names will be used by voters.

The polling organization also reminded voters that candidates for national and local positions are listed at the front of the ballot, while party-list organizations are listed at the bottom.
