Tarlac officials express their condolences on the death of Rep. Charlie Cojuangco.

TARLAC CITY. On Tuesday, local officials in this province mourned the loss of First District Representative Carlos “Charlie” Cojuangco.

The people of Tarlac have lost a friend and a compassionate public servant, according to Governor Susan Yap.

“Many in Tarlac adored Congressman Charlie Cojuangco. He instilled in us the qualities of bravery, kindness, and concern for others. In a social media post, Yap expressed his profound sympathies to the grieving family.

With Cojuangco’s death, City Mayor Cristy Angeles and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod cited a quotation that said “the world has lost an extraordinary life.”

“We express our heartfelt condolences, sincerest sorrow, and undying love to Cong. Charlie Cojuangco’s family.” “We pray that our Heavenly God will bring you the calm and tranquility you need to get through this tough time,” they stated.

Mayors of the province’s several local government units (LGUs) also extended their condolences to the Cojuangco family.

“I am grateful for the excellent memories I have with Cong. Charlie. “Buo ang aming suporta sa magpapatuloy ng inyong nasimulan at hindi namin ito pababayaan (We have full support in maintaining what you have started, and we will never ignore it),” said a statement from the Vice Mayor’s Office and the Sangguniang Bayan of Anao, Tarlac.

The mayors of Paniqui and San Manuel both expressed their condolences on the death of the congressman.

Cojuangco was essential in the Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) agricultural progress and development projects, according to TAU officials.

“On behalf of TAU, we express our heartfelt sympathies to the departed family. In a statement, they stated, “May his soul find eternal rest.”

“Our dear Charlie Cojuangco departed away the morning of February 22, 2022,” the Cojuangco family declared in an official statement. We’re relieved that he’ll be able to rest now.”

“We would like to honor him by commemorating his amazing life at The Heritage Memorial Park from Wednesday to Friday, Feb. 23 to 25, from 9 a.m. to midnight, and on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to midnight in Tarlac.” Thank you for your prayers and support, especially for Charlie’s family, at this terrible time,” it continued.

Cojuangco is the youngest son of the late Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr., the former governor of Tarlac.
