SAN QUINTIN, Pangasinan – SAN QUINTIN, Pangasinan – Through its Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels program, the Home Development Mutual Fund, or Pag-IBIG Fund, has made its services available to Pangasinenses in chosen towns in the province’s fifth and sixth districts.

Most of their clients have submitted a loan and applied for the loyalty card plus, as well as enquired about housing loans and membership, according to Aileen Calpotura, Pag-IBIG Fund Urdaneta City branch supervising member services officer.

“Prior to the pandemic, Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels was originally introduced in the National Capital Region. During the pandemic, it was tested again in Pangasinan. In a phone conversation on Thursday, she explained that this aims to reach out to people who live in remote places.

Calpotura said Pag-IBIG Fund has made its services available to members, including membership verification, loan filing, loyalty card plus applications, and queries, among other things, with the exception of payment collection.

“We refer them to the local bayad (payment) facilities for collection,” she explained.

The Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels caravan began on February 28 at Sison, and continued on to Asingan, Laoac, San Quintin, and San Manuel on March 3 and 4, respectively.

“These locations are remote from the Urdaneta City or Dagupan City branches, necessitating the need to bring services to them now that the pandemic-related limitations have eased,” she explained.

Calpotura claims that on a daily basis, they serve an average of 100 clients or members.

“We’re open (in the) morning until 4 p.m., but we extend our hours to complete the transactions of all the clients that came to see us in our mobile office,” she explained.

The Pag-IBIG Fund has a total of 40,259 active members in Pangasinan’s fifth and sixth districts.
