President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine encouraged European demonstrators on Friday not to remain silent in the face of Russia’s aggression on his country.

“Take to the streets to show support for Ukraine’s struggle and undertakings,” he said in a video conference address to pro-Ukraine rallies in seven European capitals, including Georgia’s Tbilisi, France’s Paris and Lyon, Slovakia’s Bratislava, Germany’s Frankfurt, Lithuania’s Vilnius, and Czech Republic’s Prague.

In addition to emphasizing the importance of Ukraine’s struggle for Europe, Zelenskyy stated that the country’s victory would be a victory for the free globe.

He stated that it would be the triumph of light over evil and freedom over slavery.

“If we win, we will be just as affluent as Europe.” And as a result of this wonderful triumph, Europe will be more peaceful,” Zelenskyy remarked.

During a video conference address to the crowd in Tbilisi, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili reaffirmed Georgia’s support for Ukraine.

“It is Georgia’s honor to stand with Ukraine, which is today fighting for freedom, independence, and Europe’s future,” she stated.

Georgia submitted its application for EU membership on Wednesday, following Ukraine’s fast-track application on Tuesday.

Since Russia attacked Ukraine on February 24, Georgians have held rallies in the capital and other places.

The international world has reacted angrily to the attacks, with the EU, the United Kingdom, and the United States imposing a slew of economic sanctions on Russia.

Since the start of the fighting, at least 331 people have been killed and 675 injured in Ukraine, according to UN estimates.

According to the UN refugee agency, more than 1.2 million people have fled to neighboring nations.

The two parties agreed to build humanitarian corridors for civilian evacuation and food and medical supply during the second round of peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv on Thursday.
