In a survey conducted in 2021, VP Leni received lower ratings.

MANILA, Philippines β€” According to statistics released on Friday by private polling firm Social Weather Stations, Vice President Leni Robredo’s satisfaction rating decreased in a 2021 last quarter survey of top government employees (SWS).

According to the SWS Fourth Quarter 2021 poll, which was conducted from December 12 to 16, 2021, the number of Filipinos satisfied with Robredo’s performance fell to 41% from 51% in September 2021.

Dissatisfaction with the presidential candidate was voiced by 40% of 1,440 respondents, up 13 percentage points from September 2021’s 27%. Nineteen percent were undecided about the subject.

Robredo’s net satisfaction score fell to “neutral” +1 in the poll, down 23 points from “excellent” +24 in September 2021.

The 23-point drop in Robredo’s overall net satisfaction rating was attributed to “decreases in all regions, particularly in Mindanao,” according to SWS.

In Metro Manila (from +1 to -16) and Mindanao (from +20 to -27), Robredo’s net satisfaction score dropped from “good” +47 to “moderate” +27, and in the Visayas, it dropped from “good” +47 to “moderate” +27.

Despite a 14-point decline from +24 to +10, she maintained a “moderate” net satisfaction rating in Balance Luzon.

In rural areas, Robredo’s net satisfaction dropped from “excellent” to “moderate” (from +34 to +14).

Women (from +32 to +6), those 55 and older (from +32 to +6), non-elementary graduates (from +42 to +5), and elementary grads (from +36 to +4) all saw their net satisfaction drop from “good” to “neutral.”

It also dropped from “moderate” to “neutral” among men (from +17 to -4), junior high school graduates (from +15 to -1), college graduates (from +20 to +1), and those aged 18 to 54 (from +16 to +26 to -5 to +2).

In urban regions, Robredo’s net satisfaction rating dropped from “moderate” +13 to “poor” -13.

Other government officials

According to the SWS, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III was the only high-ranking official with a “very good” net satisfaction score.

“Senate President Sotto’s net satisfaction rating improved from good to very good,” according to the study, rising from +46 in September 2021 to +52 (properly-rounded) in December 2021. “The 6-point rise in Senate President Sotto’s overall net satisfaction rating was attributed to increases in all categories except Mindanao.”

Sotto’s net satisfaction climbed from “excellent” to “very good” in Metro Manila (from +49 to +53) and Balance Luzon (from +47 to +56) as he vies for the country’s second-highest office.

Sotto’s net satisfaction in the Visayas remained “very good” (from +51 to +63) and “good” (from +37 to +31) in Mindanao.

House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco and Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, two other key government officials, both had a “neutral” net satisfaction rating.

Velasco’s net satisfaction fell three points from +8 in September 2021 to +5 in December 2021, remaining “neutral.”

The net satisfaction score for Gesmundo remained “neutral,” rising five points from +2 in September 2021 to +7 in December 2021.

Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao each had 360 respondents, with sample error margins of 2.6 percentage points for national percentages and 5.2 percentage points for Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

President Rodrigo Duterte received a “very good” net satisfaction rating of +60 in December 2021, up 8% from September 2021, according to a survey released in February by SWS.
