Another group of Balik Probinsya grantees is on their way to Bicol.
MANILA, Philippines β Through the national government’s Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-Asa Program, five families totaling 18 individuals hang on to their desire for a new start in life as they return to their home provinces in Catanduanes and Sorsogon in the Bicol region (BP2).
These families left Metro Manila on Thursday, carrying with them their experiences and lessons learned from living in the country’s congested capital region.
Senator Bong Go wished the recipients success as they begin a new chapter in their lives in a video message.
“This successful dispatch, as well as the entire BP2 initiative, are part of the national government’s aim to promote rural development and give people hope for a better future. “Wishing our kababayans the best of luck as they return to their home provinces,” Go stated in a video message.
The BP2 program was able to return a total of 154 people to their respective provinces throughout the month of March.
Zambales, Albay, Camarines Norte, Naga City, Camarines Sur, Masbate, Northern Samar, Cotabato, General Santos City, Sarangani, South Cotabato, and Sultan Kudarat are among the provinces that have welcomed their inhabitants back.
The BP2 wished these people well on their Facebook page.
“Hangad ng BP2 na makapagsimula ng bagong buhay sa probinsya ang mga benepisyaryo sa probinsya ang mga benepisyaryo. Makakatanggap ng iba’t ibang porma ng aid mula sa magkakaibang ahensya ng gobyerno (BP2 hopes for the recipients to begin a new life in the province.) They will receive aid from a variety of government entities),” the post stated.
The Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the National Housing Authority are among the agencies that help BP2 beneficiaries (NHA),
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Mindanao Development Authority, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority are among the agencies that provide livelihood aid and training (TESDA).
A BP2 beneficiary’s benefits are determined by a social worker’s assessment and recommendation based on interviews and documentation presented by the applicant.
