Isko Moreno refuses to withdraw his support for Robredo.

MANILA, Philippines – Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has reassured supporters that he will continue with his presidential bid, despite calls for him to withdraw in order for Vice President Leni Robredo to win.

Domagoso said his “supreme sacrifice” is his pledge to cure the ailments of many Filipinos and help the country recover from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) epidemic during a campaign stop in Porac, Pampanga on Wednesday.

This comes amid calls from some quarters for him to drop out of the presidential election and make the “ultimate sacrifice” for Robredo to take on Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

“Today is the day of my supreme sacrifice.” This is the price to pay. This is the sacrifice, regardless of the misunderstanding, perception, or impression that the other side is making in your eyes, in your mind,” Domagoso added.

“I’m going to put my life on the line to solve the taongbayan’s situation.” And I’m making the ultimate sacrifice. Available ako if you desire peace of mind. I finish what I start. I’ll take care of it. (To answer the needs of the people.) Wala akong babawian, wala akong paghihigantihan, wala akong babalikan. And I’m making the ultimate sacrifice. I am accessible if you want peace of mind; I don’t have anyone to inflict revenge on),” he continued.

In the meanwhile, Domagoso stated he respects his followers’ decision to support other presidential candidates.

He emphasized that just because some supporters have changed their thoughts does not mean he should abandon his purpose of assisting the country and its people.

“I wish them the best of luck.” Life must continue. Life is like that; you stumble, but what matters is that, like most ordinary Filipinos, you don’t give up),” Domagoso explained.

“Hangga’t hindi kayo sumusuko sa hirap na dinaranas ninyo, hindi ko kayo susukuan kasi (While you do not give up on the trials you are facing, I will not give up on you, because) as far as I am concerned, Doc Willie (Ong, running mate), (senatoriables) Samira Gutoc, Carl Balit
