There are no current daily updates from Algeria. For the first time, the Covid-19 case was presented.

ALGIERS β€” For the first time since the disease’s outbreak two years ago, the Algerian Health Ministry announced on Sunday that no new Covid-19 cases had been detected in the previous 24 hours.

According to the ministry, the total number of cases has stabilized at 265,739, the death toll has remained at 6,874, and the number of recoveries has reached 178,335.

Algeria had the highest daily infection rate of 2,521 on January 25, 2022, and the highest daily death rate of 49 on July 28, 2021.

On February 25, 2020, the first Covid-19 case was recorded in the North African country.
