The Region 8 caravan highlights Duterte’s administrative achievements.

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines – On Labor Day, the Philippine National Police (PNP) regional office in Eastern Visayas organized the Grand Duterte Legacy procession, which aimed to promote public awareness about President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s main accomplishments.

On Sunday, each municipal or provincial police office collaborated with other government organizations to give supplies and services to 5,547 people in six provinces and seven cities.

“The grand caravan is not a completion of the current administration’s policies and initiatives per se, but rather a recognition that all of those programs have been effective and are currently being executed for the people’s benefit.” PNP Eastern Visayas regional director Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said in a statement on Monday that “we, in the PNP, will always be here to support the ambitions and aspirations of our administration.”

This caravan was organized in accordance with Executive Order No. 137, which established the “Aid and Humanitarian Operations Nationwide Convergence Program” to improve agency coordination and collaboration in the provision of aid to Filipinos.

Banac congratulated all authorities and organizations that helped the grand caravan run smoothly in seven cities and six provinces across the area.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Office of Civil Defense, the Department of Agrarian Reform, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Philippine Army, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Labor and Employment, the Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority, and the Bureau of Jail and Management Pe were among the agencies that took part in the exercise.
