The number of active Covid-19 cases in Caraga has dropped to 14.

BUTUAN CITY, PHILIPPINES – The number of active coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the Caraga Region dropped to 14 between April 24 and 30, according to the regional health department office.

According to a report from the Department of Health in Caraga (DOH-13), the decline occurred after six of the 20 Covid-19 patients who had been logged in the previous week had recovered.

Nine new Covid-19 infections were discovered among the 20 cases reported last week, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 58,860.

Three new cases have been reported in Agusan del Sur, and one each in Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur. In Butuan City, three new instances were reported, and one in Surigao City.

“Total recoveries in the region presently stand at 56,655,” according to the DOH-13.

As of last week, three further Covid-19-related deaths had been reported, bringing the total number of deaths in the region to 2,191 since the pandemic was declared in early 2020.

Last week, no severe or critical illnesses caused by Covid-19 infections were admitted to the various medical facilities in the region, according to DOH-13.

Only 16.49 percent, or 96 out of 582 non-intensive care unit (ICU) beds, and 2.99 percent, or two out of 67 ICU beds, are being used for Covid-19 cases, according to DOH-13.
