In the first ‘Miting de Avance,’ UniTeam reiterates its plea for unity.

CITY OF ILOILO – On Tuesday, the UniTeam of presidential contender former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and vice-presidential frontrunner Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte held the first of three major rallies in Guimbal, Iloilo Province, reiterating their demand for the country to unite.

Marcos said they did not make a mistake in choosing Iloilo province for their “Miting de Avance” for Visayas, stating the overflowing crowd their priorities if Ilonggos trust them with their ballots in the upcoming May 9 elections.

“Sa lahat po ng ating ginagawa pinapaalala po natin sa taong bayan na ang pagkakaisa ay napakahalaga at ito po ang unang hakbang upang tayo ay makabalik at ito po ang unang hakbang upang tayo ay makabalik at ito po ang unang hakb Gaya ng mainit na pagtanggap ninyo dito sa Guimbal, ganun din po ang init ng pagtanggap sa mensahe ng pagkakaisa He replied, “Your warm acceptance of our message of togetherness is identical to the kind greeting you gave us here in Guimbal”)

Duterte, on the other hand, said that Marcos never discussed overthrowing the government in order to win elections.

“Bongbong Marcos will never, ever sleep with a state adversary,” she declared.

The two have spelled out their priorities for the past 90 days of campaigning, which include jobs, great education, and a harmonious neighborhood.

She also stated that they will continue to pursue the “Build, Build, Build” programs that have brought peace and development to the Philippines, as well as the current Duterte administration’s anti-criminality drive.

Duterte also informed the public that while she may not be the greatest or most brilliant choice for vice president, no one can match her tenacity in making difficult decisions for the post and the country.

Mindanao’s “Miting de Avance” will be held on May 5 in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, and Luzon’s “Miting de Avance” will be held on May 7 in Paraaque City.
