MANILA, Philippines — The meteorological agency predicted that fair weather would continue to prevail in most parts of the country on Wednesday.
The low-pressure area (LPA) will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Davao region, which was last monitored 185 kilometers east of General Santos City.
“It (LPA) has a minimal probability of evolving into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours,” said Grace Castaeda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The frontal system hitting extreme northern Luzon will also bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.
The rest of Luzon will experience pleasant weather. It will be hot and humid, particularly around noon.
“Stay inside or keep outdoor activities to a minimum. When going outside, don’t forget to wear sunscreen “Castaeda explained.
Tuguegarao might have temperatures of up to 35°C, while Metro Manila and Laoag could see temperatures of up to 34°C.
Isolated rains are likely in the afternoon or evening, according to Castaeda.
She expects pleasant weather in the Visayas and Mindanao, with sporadic rainfall due to localized thunderstorms and easterlies.
Over extreme northern Luzon, moderate to high winds and moderate to rough waves will continue to prevail.
Winds will be light to moderate elsewhere, with modest to moderate seas.
