Palace is elated with PRRD’s strong satisfaction and trust scores.

MANILA – Malacanang expressed gratitude to Filipinos who continue to believe in President Rodrigo Duterte and value his work performance on Wednesday.

This comes after OCTA Research reported that among top government officials, Duterte had the highest performance and trust rankings in its Tugon ng Masa poll, which was conducted from March 5 to 10.

According to the findings of an OCTA Research poll, Duterte scored a 67 percent satisfaction rating and a 69 percent trust rating.

“Nagpapasalamat po kami sa inyong patuloy at walang sawang suporta at pagtitiwala sa ating Punong Ehekutibo, Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte na nakakuha ng pinakamataas na performance rating at 67 percent at pinakamataas na trust rating at 69 percent,” Acting President Rodrigo Roa

Andanar reassured the public that Duterte’s characteristic “Tapang at Malasakit” (courage and compassion) leadership style will be maintained till his tenure ends on June 30.

“Ang tapang at malasakit ng ating Pangulo, ang kaniyang paglilingkod, ay mararamdaman hanggang sa huling sandali ng kaniyang termino,” he remarked.

According to the results of an OCTA Research study, vice presidential candidate and Senate President Vicente Sotto III is the second most trusted and respected top government figure, with satisfaction and trust ratings of 60 percent and 68 percent, respectively.

Sotto was followed by presidential contender and Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo (40 percent satisfaction and 42 percent trust), House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco (20 percent satisfaction and 17 percent trust), and Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo (20 percent satisfaction and 17 percent trust) (15 percent satisfaction rating and 15 percent trust rating).

Transition strategy

According to Andanar, the President’s Office (OP) has organized a committee to oversee and ensure a seamless transition of power when Duterte leaves office.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea will lead the transition committee, according to Andanar.

“To draft and implement the Office of the President’s transition plan, the Office of the President established a transition committee chaired by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea,” he stated.

According to Andanar, the OP has yet to reveal the names of committee members.

Duterte emphasized his willingness to serve the public even after his tenure ended in a speech held in Cainta, Rizal on Tuesday.

Duterte, a lawyer, stated that even if he is now a citizen, he will continue to assist Filipinos who want his guidance.
