Various Mindanao factions are now backing the Leni-Kiko team.

MANILA, Philippines β€” On Wednesday, erstwhile supporters of various presidential candidates in Mindanao announced their support for the Leni Robredo-Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan team.

The Rebolusyonaryong Alyansang Makabansa (RAM), First Community Cooperatives Foundation, Mindanao Women Advocacy, and IMK Leni para sa Bayan are among the organizations involved.

On Wednesday in Cagayan de Oro, representatives from these groups raised Pangilinan’s hand.

“I won here in Cagayan in all three of my Senate terms” (de Oro). “Ang mga tao nagtiwala ang mga tao,” Pangilinan remarked at a press conference.

“If the people desire good administration and food security, then (ako siguro ako) perhaps I, among the vice-presidential candidates, can be chosen,” he continued.

Pangilinan, according to Cagayan de Oro Mayor Oscar Moreno, is the best candidate who can truly support a Robredo presidency.

“(Robredo) is unable to do it alone and requires assistance.) As her vice president, Kiko Pangilinan is crucial,” he explained.

He went on to emphasize that the country’s health and economic challenges might be highly complex and that solving them would require collaboration and harmony.

“Seek advice from your superiors and peers. “Chemistry is vital,” Moreno said, adding that the country requires an administration that can bring people together and focus on the issues at hand.

Moreno stated that leaders should be able to inspire others.

He stated, “(I see that) Robredo is the only one who can now govern our country.”

Meanwhile, Pangilinan urged Mindanao residents to seize the opportunity to benefit directly from the agriculture industry.

“Let us vote for someone who has a track record in agriculture and has made agriculture a priority because Mindanao will substantially benefit from the island’s vast agricultural potential.” “Mindanao will play a critical role in alleviating poverty and hunger,” he said.

Food security, farmers, and fishermen will be among the priority under a Robredo government, according to Pangilinan.

He believes that doubling the agriculture budget would entice investment.
