On May 9, the Department of State suspends passport services.
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Friday that all passport and consular services will be suspended on election day, May 9.
“All Consular Offices worldwide will be closed on May 9, 2022, in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 1357, which established the day of the 2022 National and Local Elections as a special non-working holiday,” the DFA notification noted.
Walk-in applications for passports, authentication and apostille are also closed on Monday, according to the DFA.
On May 10, consular operations will restart.
