DHSUD looks for new ways to provide excellent service.
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) is dedicated to providing quality services to Filipinos by employing qualified personnel.
In a statement released Friday, DHSUD Secretary Eduardo del Rosario stated that the agency will continue to strengthen its staffing capacities and ensure that it can fully carry out its role as the national housing agency.
On Thursday, the DSHUD wrapped off a four-day performance assessment and planning session.
Human settlements and urban development coordination; environmental, land use, and urban planning development; housing and real estate development regulation; homeowners’ associations and community development; and general administration and support services are among the policies reviewed during the workshops.
Del Rosario stated that the DHSUD will design personnel development and service excellence metrics so that the employees can give better service and perform better.
“The bottom line for all of us,” del Rosario added, “is to establish a norm on staff competence and quality service.”
The DHSUD’s priorities were reduced and program implementation recommendations for 2023 were produced during the session.
Based on the 2040 National Housing and Urban Development Sector Plan and other relevant national development frameworks, the result will guide the department’s operational orientation in the following years.
“Everything begins with a strategy, just like any other effort.” But, in order to be successful, our strategy must be scrupulously well-planned,” he added. “What we need to do now is light our torches and chart our course by examining our strengths and limitations and determining the most viable but effective ways to put our goals into action.”
He urged agency personnel to “give it you’re all for the sake of the Filipino people.”
