Marcos Jr. predicts Sara Duterte as the next Education Secretary.
MANILA – On Wednesday, President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced that his running mate and vice-presidential contender Sara Duterte has accepted to lead the Department of Education.
“I believe I am already permitted to declare the first nominee that we will present to the Commission on Appointments if I am proclaimed.” That is, our new vice president has consented to take over the Department of Education’s brief,” Marcos remarked in a televised address.
One of the reasons Marcos chose Duterte as the new Education Secretary is her role as a mother who wants to “ensure that her children are well-trained and well-educated,” according to Marcos.
“The best motivation we can hope for is that.” “So that’s the first announcement I can make as a result of this process,” Marcos explained.
Based on the 98.26% of election returns processed, the partial and unofficial result in the presidential campaign continuously points to Marcos winning with more than 31 million votes, more than double the lead over Vice President Leni Robredo’s 14.8 million.
