Rains are expected in parts of Visayas and Mindanao as a result of the ITCZ.
MANILA, Philippines — The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring rainfall to several places in the Visayas and Mindanao, according to the weather bureau.
Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the Bangsamoro Region will get scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Due to moderate to heavy rains, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) predict flash floods or landslides in these locations.
According to Ezra Bulquerin of PAGASA, the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao will enjoy pleasant weather, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms probable in the afternoon or evening.
Fairweather is forecast for Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, with partly cloudy to a cloudy sky and isolated rainfall and thunderstorms expected in the afternoon and evening.
The temperature in Tuguegarao could reach 35 degrees Celsius; in Metro Manila, 34 degrees Celsius; and in Legazpi, the Kalayaan Islands, and Laoag, 33 degrees Celsius.
“In the next three days, no meteorological disturbance is predicted to emerge or harm the country,” Bulquerin added.
Winds will be light to moderate, with mild to moderate seas across the archipelago.
