The LPA was last detected over the West Philippine Sea, 275 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales, according to Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
“It has a minimal possibility of growing into a tropical cyclone,” he added, adding that it might evaporate within the day.
The LPA will bring precipitation to the Ilocos area, Bataan, and Zambales, but sunny and pleasant weather to the rest of Luzon.
Over the Visayas and Mindanao, it will be hot and humid.
No more meteorological disturbances or LPAs are predicted to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility until the weekend, according to Estareja, but PAGASA predicts one or two tropical cyclones this month.
Meanwhile, temperatures in Tuguegarao, Manila, and Puerto Princesa, the Kalayaan Islands, and Legazpi might reach 34°C, 33°C, and 32°C, respectively.
Temperatures of up to 34°C are expected in Zamboanga, 33°C in Iloilo, Tacloban, and Davao, and 32°C in Cagayan de Oro, according to PAGASA.
Over the whole archipelago, light to moderate winds and mild to moderate seas will continue to prevail.
