The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Passport appointments are available from June through September
MANILA, Philippines — According to a high-ranking official, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has offered passport appointment slots for the months of June to September.
“Following SFA (Teodoro Locsin Jr.direction )’s to reduce the passport backlog, we’ve opened extra appointment slots in all of our 36 consular offices and 20 TOPS (temporary off-site passport service) sites nationwide,” Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Brigido Dulay tweeted on Friday.
“There are now spots available starting in June and running through September 2022. There’s no need to wait “He went on to say.
The DFA has yet to release information on the number of slots that will be available each day as of this writing.
The DFA previously stated that steps are being taken to improve public consular services, including the addition of temporary off-site passport service centers and the sale of already-scarce appointment slots online by seeking fixers.
It had previously filed complaints against two recruitment agencies, Canferz Payment and Ticketing Center and Valesco-SMS Inc., for using social media to illegally distribute and profit from the sale of passport appointment slots reserved only for overseas Filipino workers.
