Over the majority of PH, fair and warm weather will prevail.

MANILA, Philippines — Despite the existence of a low-pressure area (LPA), the meteorological bureau predicts pleasant and warm weather for most of the country on Monday.

The last time the LPA was seen was 60 kilometers west of Romblon, Romblon.

“It has a slim possibility of becoming a tropical cyclone,” said weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in the agency’s 5 a.m. weather report.

He noted that no other meteorological disturbances were observed both inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Due to the LPA, Mimaropa will get cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

“The rest of Luzon will be hot, with thunderstorms probable in the afternoon or evening,” Aurelio predicted.

Temperatures will reach 35°C in Tuguegarao City, 34°C in Metro Manila, 32°C in Laoag and Legazpi, and 31°C in the Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa.

He predicts pleasant and mild weather in the Visayas and Mindanao, while thunderstorms are expected to bring rain.

Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, Zamboanga, and Davao will experience temperatures of up to 32°C.

Over the whole archipelago, light to moderate breezes and mild to moderate seas will prevail.
