Weather in PH is humid, with a high risk of thunderstorms on Thursday
MANILA, Philippines — According to the weather agency, most parts of the country will have humid weather with a high risk of thunderstorms.
Over the Batanes and Babuyan Islands, a frontal system hitting extreme northern Luzon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides are expected as a result of scattered moderate to heavy rains, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
“At this time, no meteorological disturbance is affecting the country,” PAGASA’s Samuel Duran stated.
The rest of Luzon will be humid, with a high probability of thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
Temperatures could reach 36 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao and 33 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila and Legazpi. In Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro, the maximum temperature is 32 degrees Celsius.
“There will be humid weather across the Visayas and Mindanao, with a high risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening,” Duran said.
Tacloban, Cebu, Davao, and Zamboanga may experience temperatures as high as 33 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the entire archipelago will be dominated by light to moderate breezes and mild to moderate seas.
