In just seven days, Caraga has logged 18 new Covid-19 infections.
From June 12 to 18, the Caraga Region registered eighteen new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) illnesses, according to the regional health office.
The Department of Health – Caraga (DOH-13) reported three cases in Agusan del Norte, one each in Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur; eight cases in Butuan City, one each in Bislig and Tandag; and two cases in Surigao City.
“As of Monday, the region had 21 current Covid-19 cases,” according to DOH-13.
With the latest infections, the total number of Covid-19 cases in the region since March 2020 has risen to 58,989 cases.
Last week, the region added 15 new recoveries, increasing the overall number of recoveries in the region to 56,755.
The virus’s death toll now stands at 2,213 people, with no new cases of Covid-19 reported in the last week.
As of Monday, DOH-13 reported that 1,624,511 people in the region were fully inoculated, accounting for 71.6 percent of the total number of inoculation targets in the region.
In addition, 3,392,979 Covid-19 vaccines were given out in the region, with 216,368 people receiving their booster injections.
