Marcos urges cooperation to improve Filipinos’ quality of living

On Thursday, Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., the incoming president of the Philippines, urged Filipinos to come together to support his administration’s efforts to realize the promise of a better life for all Filipinos.

As he attended Bacoor City’s 10th anniversary as a city, Marcos restated this plea, stating that the government could not thrive without the assistance and support of Filipinos.

“Ako po tulungan niyo. Ating kailangang gawin po marami, mahirap po ang ating kailangang gawin. Please assist me. I need your help.) Ngunit sa tulong ninyo, sa pagkakaisa ninyo, sa ating pangarap na pagandahin ulit ang buhay ng Pilipino…ay magiging totoo pag tayo ay nagkaisa We have a lot of work ahead of us that will be challenging. But with your assistance, your support of my desire to improve life for Filipinos, we will be genuinely unified,” he stated in his speech.

As long as the Filipino people support him, Marcos also voiced confidence that he would succeed in rescuing the nation from poverty.

“Although there are many of us here, the Philippines is the nation that our ninanais are pagandahin for. Even though many factors attempt to thwart our desire to make the Philippines greater, I have the courage to assert that we still have a bright and beautiful future, and I can say that because all Filipinos are behind me, he said. “Malakas po ang loob ko magsabi na mayroon pa rin tayong maliwanag at magandang kinabukasan at nasasabi ko po

He claimed he accepted Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla’s offer to attend the city’s 10th anniversary of becoming a city and noted that Cavite residents’ votes helped him win the president with a resounding 31 million votes.

When I received the invitation from your mayor, I remarked, “Perhaps it is only right that my first public appearance as President-elect would be to thank the people of Bacoor and Cavite for the election results.

He expressed his desire to attend the event as well, expressing his satisfaction that the city had maintained its reputation as the “Marching Band Capital of the Philippines.”

“Ako natutuwa na makita na ipinapagpatuloy ninyo ang tradition ng Bacoor na ang inyong pagdiriwang ay ipinapagmamalaki ninyo ang inyong Marching Band Capital of the Philippines,” said the speaker. Burger kayong lahat sa akin (I’m pleased to see you carrying on the Bacoor legacy by being proud to be the marching band capital of the Philippines. You all receive complimentary hamburgers, he continued.
On June 23, 2012, a plebiscite resulted in Bacoor, Cavite’s ‘gateway’ to and from southern Metro Manila, becoming a city.

In December 2010, with the support of both Congress and Malacanang, the historic first-class city was likewise made into a single congressional district.

According to legend, the term “bakod,” which means “fence,” is where the name Bacoor originated.
