There are already 78 Covid-19 cases open in Zambo City.
By Friday, there were 78 confirmed cases of the coronavirus illness 2019 (Covid-19) in this area, according to the City Health Office (CHO).
The CHO reported that from 64 cases on Monday, the number had increased by 14 cases.
The office did not go into detail about what caused the surge other than to restate the recommendation to be cautious and rigorously adhere to the basic health standards.
According to information made public by the CHO on Friday, the city has experienced a total of 29,411 confirmed cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began in March 2020, with 28,076 recoveries, 1,257 fatalities, and 78 current cases.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the office has documented 240 cases of reinfection.
According to its records, 75 of the active cases include members of the community, along with two people who are deprived of their liberties and one approved person who is not a resident.
According to data, 48.7% of cases that are still active have no symptoms, 32.1% have minor symptoms, 11.5% have moderate symptoms, and 7.7% have severe symptoms.
The 78 active cases are spread among 29 of the 98 barangays in this city.
The local administration claimed that in response to the rise, it has increased the distribution of primary vaccination doses and booster shots to give residents improved protection against Covid-19.
On Friday, walk-in vaccine recipients were allowed at health facilities, including barangay halls, for the initial dose and the first and second booster shots.
Additionally, medical professionals have carried out house-to-house immunization campaigns in the city’s many barangays to administer the first and second booster doses.
