Biyahe Na, Tara Na! The 33rd Philippine Travel Mart is back by PHILTOA.

The Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), Inc. has announced the return of the Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) for its 33rd year in the hopes that the tourism sector will recover after lockdowns brought on by the epidemic.

The Philippine Tour Operators Association, Inc. (PHILTOA), a 1986-founded group of tour operators and allied members engaged in the promotion of ethical tourism, seeks to establish itself as the “leading inbound and domestic tourism association with global networks actively contributing to national economic growth” by creating “national and global affiliations and alliances with tourism-related associations and organizations… [and] providing members with dynamic opportunities for growth.” In order to carry out its objective and vision, PHILTOA established the Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) in 1994 at the initiative of the Department of Tourism.

The PTM topic for this year is “Safe Travels” after a two-year break. With at least 70 million Filipinos completely immunized and tourism establishments inviting international visitors, travelers yearning for unforgettable tropical adventures may look forward to a safer and more laid-back environment. They refer to it as “revenge travel,” a means to avenge loneliness and boredom while responsibly exploring new paths or organizing a long-awaited trip back to a favorite location.

We invite everyone to the largest Philippine Travel Mart to date with great joy and enthusiasm. The moment is right for us to travel once more, support small companies, and explore the Philippines and beyond because we’ve been waiting so long for it, says PHILTOA President Ms. Fe Abling-Yu.

WHAT TO AIM FOR

Beginning on September 30, the three-day travel expo will include more than 200 exhibitions from regional and international exhibitors displaying premium domestic and international travel packages, some of which provide the best value for every traveler’s dollar. The PTM exclusively collaborates with recognized organizations and companies with the goal of promoting sustainable tourism and community involvement.

The goal of the expo is to showcase the best islands in the archipelago each year, from award-winning islands known throughout the world to cultural hotspots where visitors may immerse themselves in the rich and vibrant history and culture of the Filipino people. The three-day event is the greatest place to learn more about the wonders of Luzon, the richness of Visayas, and the colors of Mindanao because all areas of the Philippines are participating in it.

Local tourism is the focus of the expo, with each of the four zones—Yellow for MICE and Entertainment, Blue for Beach, Cruise, and Marine Sports, Green for Cultural and Agro/Farm/Eco-Tourism, and Pink for Health, Wellness, and Culinary—designated for a particular type of travel. Each zone is brimming with information and deals from properly accredited tour operators, lodging establishments, amusement parks, airlines, and local, state, and federal organizations.

The Philippines and other ASEAN neighbors are worth exploring for a variety of reasons. At PTM, we hope that guests will not only discover incredible bargains but also learn more about our own nation. The largest of our interactive exhibits will be the Mindanao display, which will highlight Philippine areas,” explains Ms. Abling-Yu.

With ASEAN vacation packages to stunning Bali, ancient Siem Reap, and lively Ho Chi Minh, travelers of all ages and financial abilities will never run out of things to see. The expo also offers additional packages in popular Asian locations like South Korea, China, and Japan.

Visitors can use their smartphones to scan the QR codes of exhibitors to identify their locations and make paperless purchases, elevating the expo to new technological and practical heights.

The Philippine Travel Mart will provide you additional motivation to pack your bags and go exploring, whether you’re going for work or pleasure, alone or in a group.

GET TO KNOW THE TRAVEL PROFESSORS

The 33rd Philippine Travel Mart is also pleased to introduce the top lifestyle influencers in the nation as the expo’s official Travel Advocates: Queenmelo Esguerra, a broadcast journalist and advocate for gender equality; Marbee Shing Go, a journalist and events specialist; Anton Diaz, one of the founding members of the blogging community and the creator of Our Awesome Planet; Patty Laurel Filart, a host and digital creator; and Sam YG, a TV/radio and events.

“Baguio and the Cordilleras are so much more than what the eye can see. Baguio is the ideal location for various types of escape, more so than the tourist attractions I was able to visit when I was a child. Marbee Shing Go, who grew up in Baguio and returned home during the pandemic, describes the city’s culture as being present in everyday life, as well as the cold, trees, fog, art displayed across the city, and the city’s many trees.

“Our travels to Batanes are the most memorable local travel experiences. exploring the uninhabited island of Itbayat, the historic monuments in Sabang, and the island of Batan, according to Anton Diaz.

Sam YG spoke about his love of beaches and that of his wife. Additionally, the Philippines is home to a large number of top-notch beaches. His top vacation spots are El Nido, which is known for its pristine beaches and abundant marine life, Cebu, Panglao, Bohol, and, of course, Boracay.

With her family, Patty Laurel-Filart enjoys traveling, and they frequently visit beaches. “The Philippines is a truly beautiful nation. We are extremely fortunate to live here, and thanks to easy access to local transportation, everything is really convenient for all of us, she says. “Now when it comes to beaches, my recommendations would obviously be Palawan, and Boracay, but you should also explore Siquijor and Mati, Davao Oriental, and it’s lovely there,” my mother’s homeland of Davao Oriental.

Entrepreneur and traveler Anton Diaz are inspired by his experiences. “I always look forward to traveling as an educational experience since it helps me to expand my horizons and see new chances. Travel also inspires me to do better work and run a successful business. Actually, this is where I get a lot of my fresh ideas for articles or new ventures.

Travel helps Queenmelo Esguerra get a wider viewpoint. “I’ve always thought that one of the best ways for me to learn more about life is to travel. I can learn about different cultures, have new adventures, and meet new people thanks to travel.

Traveling need not be pricey… Particularly now that [there are so many discounts] would enable you to travel to our own nation, the Philippines, and discover 7,107 islands, added Sam YG.

The simplest way to put it is by quoting Patty Laurel Filart: “There’s just so much to learn and so much to discover in the Philippines. The best present you can give yourself is local travel. The best present you can give to your country may also be the second best.

From September 30 to October 2, 2022, the SMX Convention Center Manila (Halls 1–4), Seashell Lane, SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, will host the 33rd Philippine Travel Mart (PTM). The Department of Tourism and the Tourism Promotions Board is co-presenting the travel expo, and the Bank of the Philippine Islands, AirAsia, and Cebu Pacific are providing support as Diamond, Silver, and Bronze sponsors, respectively.
