Trixie Cruz-Angeles, the press secretary, has recovered from Covid-19 after testing positive for the illness on August 15.

In a post on her official Facebook page, she said, “Negative na (I’m negative now).”

Cruz-Angeles stated in a message to reporters that she is now feeling “energetic.”

She returned to work after the flag-raising ceremony on Monday.

Cruz-Angeles stated during a news conference on Thursday that she could not answer any more questions from the media because she thought she might be showing signs of COVID-19.

She claimed she had no symptoms or was asymptomatic before this.

Later, she explained that although she was still performing her duties as Press Secretary, she was “feeling weary.”

Cruz-Angeles performed duties last week virtually.

She nearly attended the Senate committee on public information and mass media meeting on August 15 while having Covid-19.

Cruz-Angeles additionally hosted online press conferences and frequently updated social media.

She also started her official TikTok account the same week.

Cruz-Angeles is the head of the Office of the Press Secretary, which is responsible for overseeing the activities of the government-run radio station Radyo Pilipinas, television stations PTV-4 and IBC-13, and news wire service Philippine News Agency.

She also urged Filipinos to receive booster shots for Covid-19, pointing out its efficiency in combating various variations.
