Due to “Florita,” 180 families in CAR’s Region 2 were evacuated.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Tuesday that some 180 families have been preemptively evacuated in two regions as Tropical Storm Florita’s damaging weather continues to pound Northern Luzon and other surrounding provinces.

There were a total of 543 families evacuated, divided into 70 families for Region 2 (the Cagayan Valley) and 110 families for the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

Three rain-related landslides were reported, with two occurring in Region 5 and one in Region 1 (Ilocos) (Bicol).

Any casualties or property damage attributable to “Florita” must still be reported to the NDRRMC.

Additionally, it stated that 392 security personnel had been stationed in Regions 1 and 2’s evacuation centers, low-lying locations, and flood-prone places.
