MMDA advises staff to continue using face masks outside.

On Wednesday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) asked its employees to continue donning face masks outside for their safety.

In a memo, acting MMDA chair, Carlo Dimayuga III said that using a face mask shields users from COVID-19 and pollutants.

For their protection, Dimayuga asked, “all staff, especially field personnel, to wear masks even outside.”

The email also urged MMDA employees to adhere strictly to minimal health standards, including physical distance.

Dimayuga also urged people to continue donning face masks outside and in public places.

On Monday, Malacanang issued Executive Order No. 3, which permits the voluntary use of face masks outside, particularly in open regions and unpopulated, well-ventilated outdoor areas.

Face masks must still be worn inside private or public buildings, on land, air, or water, and in outdoor locations where adequate physical separation and ventilation cannot be maintained.
