24K pupils in Caraga receive cash aid from DSWD totaling P69M.

Over 24,000 students in the Caraga Region received educational help of PHP69.5 million between August 20 and September 17, according to the regional Department of Social Welfare and Development DSWD-13 office.

The Caraga Region received a total of PHP69,544,000 in educational support during the period, according to a statement from DSWD-13.

The organization reported that the most recent in a series of distributions, including 8,599 students receiving the PHP22 million in financial aid, occurred on Saturday.

Agusan del Norte received 1,794 students during the distribution exercise on Saturday, followed by Agusan del Sur with 2,596 students, Surigao del Sur with 2,237, Surigao del Norte with 1,574, and the Dinagat Islands with 398.

Agusan del Norte received the most assistance, with PHP4,284,000, followed by Agusan del Sur with PHP6,689,000, Surigao del Sur with PHP5,545,000, Surigao del Norte with PHP4,394,000, and the Dinagat Islands with PHP1,049,000.

The Financial Aid Distributions through the Agency’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation Program have benefited 24,358 students, according to DSWD-13.

Of the total winners, 6,118 come from the elementary school level, 3,526 from high school, 2,482 from senior high school, and 12,232 from college and vocational students.

According to the organization, financial help will continue to be distributed in the area, particularly to students who enrolled online and received text confirmation of their registration and appointments.
