The deal between DAR and SEC to quicken ARBO registration in Nueva Ecija.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Department of Agrarian Reform have teamed up to facilitate the quick registration of newly established agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) in Nueva Ecija.

A Memorandum of Agreement between DAR’s provincial office in Nueva Ecija and the SEC-Tarlac Extension Office was reportedly inked early this month (TEO).

DAR Nueva Ecija has already recognized the ARBOs for the aforementioned cooperation. In a news release on Monday, DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Eden Ponio said, “We will help them secure all regulatory needs for SEC regulation, check that all regulatory requirements are satisfied, and give them the logistics in the performance of training.

The partnership, the first combined endeavor of the two government organizations, would not only hasten the registration process with the SEC but will also make it easier for the members of Nueva Ecija ARBO to give training.

The Popolon United Farmers Association of Palayan City, Licabeong Gintong Butil Farmers Association, Kaakibat sa Bundok Planters Association Inc., Hope for the Women’s Association, Nagkaisang Gabay sa Bayan ng Gabaldon, Cuyapa Agri-Tubig Upland Farmer’s Association, Systenableng Agrikulturs para sa Malinao na Kasapian ng Kanayunan Inc

After the signing, members of the newly created ARBOs took training on SEC reportorial and credit investment compliance.

The SEC will forge and strengthen strong ties with various government and non-governmental organizations, business groups, local government entities, the academic community, and other stakeholders, according to Richard Laus, TEO Director.

According to him, the goal is to develop, maintain, and increase SEC’s presence, particularly at the grassroots level, to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
