In BARMM, the Marcos administration is persistently working for peace.

On Sunday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his dedication to working for peace and progress in Mindanao, stating that doing so would help the nation go closer to realizing his vision of a “New Society.”

Marcos made this pledge as he released Episode 2 of the “Bagong Pilipinas” series from the government-run Radio Television Malacanang on Facebook (RTVM).

It demonstrated the administration’s attempts to maintain law and order, particularly in Mindanao.

It is an honor to contribute to the creation of a permanent peace in the Bangsamoro, Marcos wrote in a Facebook post. “Isang karangalan ang makibahagi sa pagtatag ng pangmatagalang kapayapaan sa Bangsamoro,” he said.

“Our government will remain resolute in creating a New Society where everyone is protected and connected towards the development of every Filipino citizen,” he continued. “Sa isang Bagong Pilipinas, kung saan ang lahat ay ligtas at kapit-bisig tungo sa kaunlaran ng bawat mamamayang Pilipino.”

The same video and a similar vow were reposted on Facebook by the Office of the President (OP).

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is unwavering in his pursuit of peace and development for the region, for the nation, and all Filipinos, according to the OP. “The nation has witnessed great strides since the establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM),” it said.

Episode 2 of Bagong Pilipinas reviewed how Marcos praised the government’s accomplishments in BARMM during his speech at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 21 (Manila time).

He pleaded with other world leaders to back the Philippines’ bid for a seat on the UN Security Council in 2027–2028.

In the episode, Marcos was shown presiding over the mass swearing-in of recently appointed Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) members on August 12, symbolizing the achievement of the Bangsamoro peace accords.

It also featured the public launch of Phase 3 of the decommissioning process, which attempts to reintegrate former soldiers into society by giving them a means of support and other suitable programs and services, on September 27 in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

Under Phase 3, 14,000 soldiers are intended to be deactivated.

In the form of the Bangsamoro Transitory Family Support Package and Livelihood Settlement Grant, each beneficiary received cash in the amount of PHP100,000.

The episode’s final segment featured a snippet of Marcos’ statement during the BTA members’ collective taking of the oath, emphasizing his assertion that the way to enduring peace is constantly “under construction.”

Marcos promised that the Bangsamoro peace process would continue to be his administration’s top focus.
