Ten bypassed Cabinet members are reappointed by PBBM.

At least 10 of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s Cabinet who did not receive the Commission on Appointments’ approval have had their ad interim appointments renewed (CA).

According to a Facebook post by the Office of the Press Secretary, Marcos gave the reappointed Cabinet officials their oaths of office on Tuesday morning at Malacanang Palace in Manila (OPS).

On Tuesday, October 4, at [Malacaan], President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. oversaw the swearing-in of his reappointed Cabinet members, according to a statement from the OPS on its official Facebook page.

The individuals who were reappointed were Secretaries of Finance Benjamin Diokno, Socioeconomic Planning Arsenio Balisacan, Public Works Manuel Bonoan, Trade Alfredo Pascual, Social Welfare Erwin Tulfo, Transportation Jaime Bautista, Science and Technology Renato Solidum Jr., Energy Raphael Lotilla, Migrant Workers Susan Ople, and Jose Rizalino Acuzar (Human Settlements).

Along with the reappointed Cabinet members, the recently appointed Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin took the oath of office in front of Marcos.

Victor Rodriguez resigned last week, and Bersamin took his place.

The OPS released several images from the mass swearing-in of the Cabinet members.

Due to a shortage of time, the CA skipped the ad interim appointments of the roughly 12 Cabinet secretaries on September 28.

Ivan John Uy, the secretary of information and communications technology, and Trixie Cruz-Angeles, the press secretary, were among the Cabinet members whose ad interim appointments were also disregarded.

However, the list of reappointed Cabinet secretaries that the OPS provided did not include Cruz-Angeles or Uy.

Malacanang has not yet made a statement regarding Cruz-Angeles and Uy’s situation.

Marcos claimed to have presided over the 10th Cabinet meeting at Malacaan Palace on his official Facebook page.

However, he omitted to announce the Cabinet meeting’s agenda.
