Padilla points to PBBM’s trip to Singapore as a chance for business.
Given that the state-island is regarded as a significant commercial hub in Southeast Asia, Senator Robinhood “Robin” Padilla stated on Wednesday that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s visit to Singapore was a wonderful opportunity to entice foreign investors to our nation.
After the President was criticized for the weekend vacation, Padilla made his comments.
“Singapore is currently the focal point of negotiations in Southeast Asia. Foreign investors are currently based in Singapore. Singapore is indeed a major hub for commerce in Southeast Asia. There are foreign investors. It serves as a commercial center. “In a statement, Padilla stated.
To discuss their prospects when investing in the Philippines, Padilla said it was crucial for the President to personally engage with potential investors in Singapore, a hub for international trade.
The senator argued that investments are necessary for the Philippines to grow economically because they will bring in money to support government initiatives and projects that will provide jobs for Filipinos.
Singapore’s primary working language is English, which has earned praise for its built infrastructure, open corporate laws, talented workforce, and political stability.
He declared, “Building connections with Singapore is building relations with business.”
