How Can Your Weaknesses Help You Become a Successful Entrepreneur?

You’re familiar with Superman’s tale. You’ve heard of the kid from Krypton who was brought to Earth and got a job as a lowly newspaper writer at the Daily Planet, hiding behind a pair of thick-framed spectacles while frantically dialing 911 to rescue an aircraft that was falling out of the sky or assist the police in catching a bank robber.

Despite Superman’s many abilities, there is still one tried-and-true method of bringing him down: a radioactive chunk of his planet known as kryptonite. What’s the status of your kryptonite? What are the flaws that have kept you from being successful in the past and will continue to hinder you from being successful in the future until you overcome them?

Okay, here is where you’ll have to be truthful. Don’t worry; no one will evaluate it once you’ve completed it; no one will even see it. You can be completely honest with yourself here, because who else can you be completely honest with if not yourself? If you really want to better your life and begin accomplishing your objectives, you will need to examine certain aspects of yourself that you may not be proud of.

Be honest with yourself if you delay working on your internet company because it conflicts with your primetime television programs. If you have a hard time organizing your time and whatever free minutes you may have had throughout the day get lost in the mix, be honest about it. We’re going to categorize these flaws into three groups.

Weaknesses in Interpersonal Relationships

The first kind of flaw we’ll talk about is interpersonal flaws. These are flaws that are inherited from others. Most of the time, you will not have individuals who are really preventing you from succeeding; instead, you will believe they are. This is a conceptual barrier as opposed to an interpersonal one.

When an interpersonal weakness is really a mental one, you can tell because the person you believe is preventing you from succeeding hasn’t spoken or done anything to hinder you from succeeding. Someone who is scared to take a risk because they don’t want to disappoint their parents is an example of this, even if they haven’t addressed the issue with their parents and have no idea what their response will be.

When you have someone who is hindering you, the genuine interpersonal shortcoming is more harder to overcome. Usually, this takes the shape of a spouse. The spouse may not comprehend what you’re trying to do; they may be concerned that you won’t be able to pay your expenses; they may even be concerned that you’ll change and they won’t know where that leaves them. The majority of the time, this obstacle manifests as rage. A personal barrier like this is uncommon in a significant life transition such as the contemplation of divorce.

Physical Obstacles

The bodily weakness is the next kind of weakness we’ll discuss. Depending on the specific kind of physical issue, this may be simple or almost difficult to fix. Consider becoming a graphic designer if you want to better grasp how this flaw operates.

You didn’t possess a computer, you didn’t have access to Photoshop, and even if you did, you wouldn’t have known how to make anything in Photoshop. Two of the physical barriers may be addressed with money in this scenario. You could purchase a computer and a copy of Photoshop, or you could join up for Adobe’s monthly membership service to get access.

The final one, on the other hand, is a little more difficult to handle. It’s one of the main reasons why individuals put off beginning their internet company or their path to success for so long: they believe they lack the necessary skills, education, or expertise. In the instance of our graphic designer, they might learn the necessary abilities by watching internet courses and practicing on their own. However, whether or not they possessed a computer and access to the program would be a factor.

Mental Obstacles

The last kind of weakness we’ll discuss is perhaps the most hardest to overcome. These are the mental roadblocks; the beliefs or thoughts that prevent you from accomplishing your objectives. Mental barriers are tough to overcome since the first step is to recognize them, which may be challenging. It’s frightening to confront the aspects of your personality that are self-destructive and prevent you from succeeding. In fact, determining what these mental flaws are is perhaps the most difficult stage.

Once you’ve found out what’s stopping you from succeeding psychologically, you can start removing these mental roadblocks one by one. The majority of the time, you’ll discover that these blocks aren’t useful and definitely aren’t rational. You may have a fear of failure that is based on a previous incident that has no effect on your life now, yet it seems to belong since it has always been there.

When it comes to mental barriers, you have two options: you may develop a failure mentality, reinforcing it every day with negative self-talk – even unconsciously – or you can chip away at those mental hurdles until they are entirely gone. It’s interesting to note that each of these processes take about the same length of time. All you have to do now is select whether you want to reinforce your mental barriers or concentrate on eliminating them.
