Following Russian strikes, Biden promises to increase air defense for Ukraine.

Following the Kremlin’s extensive assaults on Monday, US President Joe Biden vowed to keep giving Ukraine the armaments it needs to defend itself from Russian aggression, including cutting-edge air defense systems.

During a phone discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Biden “expressed his condemnation of Russia’s missile strikes across Ukraine, including in Kyiv, and communicated his sympathies to the loved ones of those murdered and injured in these senseless acts,” the White House stated.

According to a release, “President Biden promised to continue giving Ukraine the resources it needs to defend itself, including cutting-edge air defense systems.”

The executive mansion said, “He also highlighted his continuous engagement with allies and partners to continue holding Russia accountable for its war crimes and atrocities and offering Ukraine security, economic, and humanitarian assistance.

Separately, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine’s “number one priority in our defense cooperation with the US” is anti-air systems.

He tweeted, alluding to the UN General Assembly, “We also need US leadership with the stern attitude of the G7 and with support for our UN GA resolution.”

The number of people killed by Russia’s attacks on Ukraine increased to 11, while authorities reported that dozens more people were injured. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports that 64 persons were hurt during the shelling.

According to Mariana Reva, a spokeswoman for the National Police of Ukraine, “if we talk about the whole of Ukraine, then, in addition to Kyiv, hits were documented in 14 other districts of the state.”

Zelenskyy claimed that Russia’s two major aims in Ukraine were its energy infrastructure and citizens in a video message posted to Telegram. The president urged citizens to remain in shelters once more.

According to the prime minister, Denys Shmyhal, 11 important infrastructure facilities in eight different Ukraine areas were destroyed due to Russian attacks.

The major objective of these war criminals continued Shmyhal, “is to create fear, to terrify, and to leave Ukrainians without light and heat.”

A day after Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Ukrainian intelligence of carrying out what he called a “terrorist attack” on the Kerch Bridge, which connects Russia to Crimea, multiple explosions were reported in the Ukrainian cities of Odesa, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Dnipro, Lviv, Ternopil, and Kyiv.

Since 2014, Russia has been illegitimately occupying the Crimean Peninsula of Ukraine. Putin unveiled the bridge in 2018 to represent Russia’s regional control.

The Shevchenko Park, the Hanenko and Shevchenko museums, and the Philharmonic building in Kyiv were all harmed due to the strikes on Monday.

Dmytro Kuleba, the foreign minister of Ukraine, wrote on Twitter, “Putin’s only tactic is a terror on peaceful Ukrainian cities, but he will not bring Ukraine down.
