Camarines Sur, Philippines

Camarines Sur is located in the Bicol Region in Luzon. Its capital is Pili and the province borders Camarines Norte and Quezon to the north, and Albay to the south. To the east lies the island province of Catanduanes across Maqueda Channel. Camarines Sur is the largest among the six provinces in the Bicol Region both in terms of population and land area. Its territory encompasses two cities: Naga City, the lone chartered city, is the province's and the region's commercial, educational, financial, and cultural center, while Iriga City, a component city, is the center of the Rinconada area. Lake Buhi is where the smallest commercially-harvested fish can be found, the Sinarapan (Mistichthys luzonensis).

Bohol, Philippines

Bohol is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Philippines. Bohol is a picturesque island-province replete with ancestral homes and centuries old churches. Bohol is situated at the heart of Visayas, to its West is Cebu and to the East is Leyte. Along its coastline are the numerous isles of Panglao, Pamilacan, Cabilao, Jao, Mahanay and Lapinin, which are also excellent dive spots.

Bohol is the site of the 1565 blood compact between Boholano chieftain Rajah Sikatuna and Spanish explorer Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. Bohol's historicity is evident in the province's relaxed, laid-back pace. Excavation in ancient burial grounds reveal artifacts dating back to China's Tang Dynasty.

It is evident that the province already had strong trading ties with the Chinese long before the Spaniards set foot in the country. Every year, the compact between the Muslim chief and the Spanish conqueror is celebrated through the Sandugo Festival in July. All year-round, the museums and churches attest to the province's rich heritage and culture. The Chocolate Hills in Carmen is the most famous natural attraction. The province is home to the world's smallest monkey, the Tarsier. Other equally exotic flora and fauna can be found amongst the forests of Bohol. Bohol's various mountains and water formations also serve as a natural playground for the adventurous tourist.

Oriental Mindoro, Philippines

Negros Oriental, Philippines

Palawan, Philippines

Palawan is located in the MIMAROPA region. Its capital is Puerto Princesa City, and it is the largest province in the country in terms of total area of jurisdiction. The islands of Palawan stretch from Mindoro in the northeast to Borneo in the southwest. It lies between the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea. The province is named after its largest island, Palawan Island, measuring 450 kilometers long, and 50 kilometers wide.

Palawan is composed of the long and narrow Palawan Island, plus a number of other smaller islands surrounding the main island. The Calamianes Group of Islands, to the northwest consists of Busuanga Island, Culion Island, and Coron Island. Durangan Island almost touches the westernmost part of Palawan Island, while Balabac Island is located off the southern tip, separated from Borneo by the Balabac Strait. In addition, Palawan covers the Cuyo Islands in the Sulu Sea. The disputed Spratly Islands, located a few hundred kilometers to the west is considered part of Palawan by the Philippines, and is locally called the Kalayaan Group of Islands.

Palawan's almost 2,000 kilometers of irregular coastline are dotted with 1,780 islands and islets, rocky coves, and sugar-white sandy beaches. It also harbors a vast stretch of virgin forests that carpet its chain of mountain ranges. The mountain heights average 3,500 feet in altitude, with the highest peak rising to 6,843 feet at Mount Matalingahan. The vast mountain areas are the source of valuable timber. The terrain is a mix of coastal plain, craggy foothills, valley deltas, and heavy forest interspersed with riverine arteries that serve as irrigation.

Ilocos Norte, Philippines

Majority of the visitors are domestic travelers who enjoy not only the arts and sights of the locality but the cuisine as well, notably bagnet, the crispy deep-fried large chunks of cross-section pork cut into biteable pieces and eaten with the flourish of fresh onion and slices of ginger and tomato; longanisa, the spicy ground pork seasoned with salt and pepper and packed in cleaned edible small intestine, wind-dried for days to mature, then fried crispy-red; kilawen kappukan, fine slices of soft lean raw beef from the freshly-butchered cow, soak-dipped in native vinegar mixed with fine salt or soy bean sauce, among others.

The new development, the first of its kind in the entire Ilocos province, will provide a life of luxury both to fellow kababayans in Ilocandia and to the growing number of visitors to the province, further boosting the tourism industry in the area.

Legazpi City, Philippines

Legazpi City, Albay is one of the Bicol Region's top tourist destination. It is where the Mayon Volcano, one of the Philippines' most famous volcanoes is located. Mayon Volcano is the Philippines' most active volcano and is considered to be the world's most perfectly formed volcano for its symmetrical cone. It is also a convenient jump-off point to other tourist destinations in the region such as the Cagsawa Ruins, the upscale resort of Misibis, Donsol, the site of one of the world's largest annual migration of whale sharks and the white sand beaches of Sorsogon and Catanduanes. Surigao City, Philippines

Surigao City is a mosaic of islands that lies at the rim of the Asian continental shelf. It is perched at the northeastern tip of Mindanao, a southern island in the Philippines, and faces the Philippine Deep. The historic strait bound it on the north and east by the Pacific Ocean, on the south by the provinces of Agusan Del Norte and Surigao Del Sur and on the West. It is blessed with abundant mineral reserves, fisheries and aquatic resources, and tracts of fertile arable lands, which are the primary sources of its people's livelihood.
