Overview: Warm and cheerful hospitality in a rustic Philippine setting - this is the unique experience of Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort.

A pleasant two hour drive through scenic countryside brings you to a historic colonial plantation and rural life of the 1800's. You'll be welcomed with a warm greeting and a cool tropical drink. Be exhilarated by majestic volcanic mountains, rows of regal coconut trees, luxuriant fields and the happy faces and light- hearted voices of the village folk. All combine into a distinct adventure.

Description
The Villa Escudero Plantation and Resort is a self contained working plantation founded in 1872. In 1890 the plantation was acquired by Don Placido Escudero and his wife Dona Claudia Marasigan.

Originally planted in sugar cane production shifted to coconut in the early 1900's under the enlightened management of Don Arsenio Escudero their only son.
In 1980 the plantation was opened to the public as a visitor attraction by the children of Don Arsenio and his wife Dona Rosario. It has since developed a worldwide reputation as a special, almost magical place, where visitors can experience all aspects of the Philippines - history, cuisine, dress and natural beauty all in one day. Villa Escudero is truly the Philippines personified.

Malarayat Range, the Plantation takes on a totally new magic.Enjoy an overnight stay with a choice of four styles of accommodations to choose from - five star to rustic riverside houses. After dinner, served in the Coconut Pavillion on the shoreline of the Labasin River, await evening serenaders to put you in the mood for a restful sleep.
