MinDA strengthens PH Ambassadors’ cooperation

The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) welcomed the 17 newly designated and confirmed Philippine Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary on Friday in order to foster strong collaboration with relevant institutions, particularly the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

The event, according to a statement released on Saturday by Secretary Maria Belen Acosta, opened the path for popular growth and development in Mindanao.

As part of their Onsite Economic Diplomacy Program, the Ambassadors paid a visit to the city before beginning their individual posts and assignments in various regions of Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe early the following year.

As a result, Acosta said, “we are truly delighted with your presence here today knowing full well of your strategic role in promoting and marketing our country as a promising investment and tourism destination in the international field.” Mindanao is rarely visited by a group of Philippine ambassadors, and for that reason, Acosta said, “we are truly delighted with your presence here today.”

The DFA Manila – Office of International Economic Relations and DFA Mindanao have asked MinDA to co-organize the Ambassadors’ visit as the Philippine Country Coordinating Office for Brunei Darussalam – Indonesia – Malaysia – Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) and Mindanao.

As we answer President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s request to reinstate the Philippines on the pinnacle of world representation, this is our common responsibility, Acosta added.

Acosta is hopeful that the Philippines would get more international recognition thanks to the Ambassador’s representation.

Additionally, she said, “we acknowledge the ambassadors’ importance in promoting our rich culture, history, and heritage; our distinctive products; and numerous locations for investments and international relationships, as well as for tourism.”

Support for numerous efforts that would make it easier to enhance current trade and investment agreements cooperate with other nations, and market Mindanao’s economic potential and investment prospects to the rest of the globe was highlighted during the event.
