Potential development of LPA; scattered rain showers are expected on Tuesday. ⛅🌧️
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Tuesday that cloud clusters are being closely monitored for potential development into a low-pressure area (LPA) throughout the day.
“We are currently awaiting data to determine the exact location of the LPA. It is anticipated to move towards the country, resulting in cloudy skies over the eastern portion of Luzon and the Visayas in the coming days,” said Obet Badrina of PAGASA.
The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will continue to affect Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao, bringing isolated rains to these areas.
Luzon is expected to have fair weather.
“Isolated rains and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon or evening,” added Badrina.
PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms may lead to flash floods or landslides.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail throughout the country. 🌦️🌊
