DOH still searching for 8 travelers from South Africa

A wellbeing official on Monday said the Department of Health (DOH) proceeds with its contact following endeavors to find eight additional tourists from South Africa.

During an internet-based media discussion, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the eight unlocated explorers are among the 253 people who showed up in the country between Nov. 15 and 29.

“Of the 253 [travelers], 80 have been confirmed and found. 77 of these are returning abroad Filipinos and three are outside nationals from Region 6, checked yet have not been found at this point,” she added.

Vergeire additionally detailed four voyagers – – three outside nationals and one returning abroad Filipino from Western Visayas – – were retested for Covid illness 2019 (Covid-19) on Dec. 1 and they were all negative for the sickness.

“Around 71 are in isolation office including the three confirmed unfamiliar nationals, four returning abroad Filipinos are in home quarantine while five were at that point released in the wake of finishing the 14-day quarantine,” she said.
