MANILA, Philippines — On President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s 77th birthday, the Philippine Post Office (PHLPost) reaffirmed its support for his growth vision.

The PHLPost expressed support for the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022 in a Facebook post, saying that it will “build a solid foundation for more inclusive growth, a high-trust society, and a globally competitive knowledge economy.”

The PDP 2017-2022 is aligned with the country’s long-term vision, Ambisyon Natin 2040, as outlined in Executive Order No. 5 s. 2016, which involves the eradication of poverty by 2040.

“It is guided by the 10-point Socioeconomic Agenda of the Duterte Administration.” ‘By 2040, the Philippines is an affluent middle-class society where no one is destitute,’ according to AmBisyon Natin 2040. People are smart and innovative, and they live long and healthy lives,” according to the PHLPost.

Under the direction of Postmaster General and CEO Norman Fulgencio, Duterte’s “Hatid Malasakit” campaign is being implemented across all post offices, according to PHLPost.

The PHLPost, meanwhile, wished Duterte “excellent health and well-being.”

PHLPost stated, “The #POSTOFFICE is appreciative of your compassionate leadership and #HatidMalasakit.”

PHLPost is a government-owned and controlled organization in the Philippines that provides postal services. It also coordinates the delivery of mail between the Philippines and other countries.

It is under the direct control of the Philippine President’s Office.

The Manila Central Post Office Building, the heart of the Philippine postal system and the former headquarters of the Bureau of Posts, is located on the Plaza Liwasang Bonifacio, with a view of the Pasig River.
