For the PWDs’ cash-for-work program in Nueva Ecija, DSWD allocates P19 million.
A total of PHP19 million has been made available by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for this province’s cash-for-work program for people with disabilities (PWDs).
The action is part of the DSWD’s KALAHI-CIDSS (Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan) initiative for the comprehensive and integrated delivery of social services.
The project, which aims to give community members temporary work for 10 days, will assist a total of 4,500 PWDs in the province.
The Listahan database, needy or poor PWDs, and PWDs who are no longer able to work are all examples of qualified beneficiaries, according to Ariel Sta. Ana, director of the Provincial Disability Affairs Office in Nueva Ecija.
Sta. Ana stated that a family member will stand in for the PWD if they are unable to complete the requirements to be a beneficiary of the program.
He stated that each beneficiary will receive a daily wage of PHP450 for the length of the project’s designated period.
According to a local news article, “The priority of the DSWD program is those PWDs who have not yet gotten assistance or taken advantage of any program from the DSWD.”
