The National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) is hoping that the nomination of retired military chief Eduardo M. Ano as National Security Adviser will increase support for its peace and development efforts (NSA).

I am confident that Secretary Ano will be a benefit to the National Task Force because I have already had the pleasure of serving under his guidance. He had already demonstrated, both as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and as Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government, that he places the effectiveness of an organization above all else “Emmanuel Salamat, the executive director of NTF-ELCAC, stated in a statement on Thursday.

According to Salamat, Ano’s selection for the position will assist them to enhance and increase the number of development projects and programs they are able to deliver.

“He continued, “I am confident that he will never let us down.

The NTF-ELCAC is proud to collaborate with Ano, according to Salamat.

We are all humbled and honored that Secretary Ano will serve as the NTF-new ELCAC’s vice chairman as it works to formalize the whole-of-nation and whole-of-government approach. As we work to bring about long-term peace and prosperity for the Filipino people, we offer our support for his leadership,” Salamat added.

According to Salamat, the NTF-ELCAC wants to eliminate all of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army’s guerilla fronts within this year.
