The largest and most comprehensive building and construction trade exhibition, the Philippine Building and Construction Exposition (PHILBEX), as well as the Travel and Leisure Expo (TLEX), began their respective events on Thursday at the SMX Convention Center in this city.

Up until May 14, the event will feature 300 exhibitors of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, interior designs, renovation products, and building and construction materials, equipment, and services.

Leo Tereso Magno, the invited speaker, expressed his joy that this city had been chosen as the location for this year’s event by PHILBEX and TLEX. He is the Presidential Assistant for Eastern Mindanao (OPAMINE) Secretary.

I hope I am right when I say that the PHILBEX and TLEX organizers, participants, and officers are here because you see a lot of potential in Davao and Mindanao, he said.

Regarding infrastructure, he stated that Mindanao has a lot of potential “to facilitate the storage and transport of products to all the other parts of the country and the world.”

We have the best and cleanest beaches, falls, caves, mountains, and other tourist spots that we could provide. The tourists who would visit and enjoy them are what we lack, according to Magno.

He claimed that PHILBEX and TLEX present a chance for the public and private sectors to collaborate in order to increase the number of visitors and construction projects to Mindanao, which will enhance the island’s way of life and economic standing.
