The recovery of Covid-19 has increased by 8.1K: DOH
The Department of Health (DOH) said Saturday that 8,109 people had recovered from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), accounting for 93.6 percent of the overall survivor count of 1,180,998.
The DOH also reported 6,955 new infections in its daily bulletin, bringing the total number of active cases in the nation to 59,543.
A total of 195 more deaths were also reported, bringing the total number of people killed to 21,732.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 1,262,273 people have been infected with Covid-19, with 4.7 percent getting treatment and 1.72 percent dying.
Around 93.5 percent of active cases are mild, 2.4 percent are asymptomatic, 1.3 percent are critical, 1.7 percent are severe, and 1.16 percent are moderate at the time of this publication.
According to the most recent statistics from the FDA, 58 percent of the country’s 1,900 critical care unit beds are filled, with 48 percent of the 13,600 isolation beds and 49 percent of the 6,000 ward beds allocated to Covid-19 patients.
In Metro Manila, 51 percent of the 700 ICU beds, 37 percent of the 3,800 authorized isolation beds, and 36 percent of the 2,200 ward beds are in use for Covid-19 patients.
