The education ministry of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has handed over school buildings worth more than PHP35 million in Lanao del Sur and Maguindanao.

In a statement released Thursday, Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education said, “This is to provide attention to instructors and students despite the epidemic.”

Iqbal oversaw the turnover of school buildings in Maguindanao Schools Division 1 and Lanao del Sur Schools Division 2 in the provinces of Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur on Wednesday.

The MBHTE Education Facilities Section was responsible for the PHP35,157,573 turnover.

Six single-story, three-classroom structures, and a single-story, the five-classroom building were among the projects sponsored by the 2018 Basic Education Facilities Fund, according to Iqbal.

The Paglat National High School in Paglat town and the Pandag National High School in Maguindanao Division 1 received the school structures.

The Kialilidan Primary School, Prentacom Elementary School, Marogong Central Elementary School, and the Ampaso Memorial National High School are among the honorees in Lanao del Sur Division 2.

As part of its commitment to enhancing the region’s educational quality, MBHTE has identified other places in the region where school buildings will be developed.
