The city authority of Borongan in Eastern Samar has organized a raffle draw for fully vaccinated individuals in order to urge more inhabitants to acquire vaccines against coronavirus illness 2019 (Covid-19).

A brand new motorcycle, flat-screen television, refrigerator, washing machine, electric oven, rice cooker, shopping package, and a sack of rice are among the goodies up for grabs, according to the local government.

The raffle will be held on February 14th.

“All residents of Borongan aged 12 and up who have been immunized against Covid-19 are automatically included in the drawing.” Our database now contains the names of completely vaccinated people. In their statement, the city government stated, “It will be printed as a raffle entry.”

Borongan locals can watch the raffle draw live on February 14 on the Borongan City Information Office’s Facebook page.

According to data from the Department of Health regional office here, 41,164 inhabitants were fully vaccinated as of January 31, while 45,338 others had gotten at least one dosage.

A total of 4,355 people received booster doses.

Borongan City has already documented 1,205 confirmed Covid-19 cases, 979 recoveries, and 30 fatalities as of January 26. There are 196 active cases in the city.
