More relief aid is being sent to typhoon-affected areas by Manila Water and its partners.

The Manila Water Foundation (MWF) and its partners are providing further aid to the villages hit by Typhoon Odette in December.

The foundation said in a statement on Monday that it worked with the Philippine Army, Navy, and Coast Guard to transport over 70,000 liters of drinking water and over 300 cases of P&G-donated hygiene products to “Odette” victims in Cebu, Bohol, Southern Leyte, Siargao Island, Dinagat Island, and Surigao City.

In a video transmitted to Manila Water, Governor Arthur Yap of Bohol Province remarked, “Thank you so much for reaching out to us and for supporting us at this hour of great need.”

The project is part of the Manila Water Foundation’s Agapay program, which tries to meet affected communities’ water and sanitation requirements as soon as possible.

Collaboration is crucial in delivering WASH interventions, according to MWF Program Manager Blessille Par, especially during times of emergency.

“The need for clean water during the relief efforts for Typhoon Odette highlights the importance of the MWF during disasters.” Working with disadvantaged groups and government entities to improve strategies to work together to ensure that everyone has proper access to clean water, especially in emergency situations, is also critical. “We applaud all of our partners for stepping up and helping our brothers and sisters in Visayas and Mindanao as quickly as possible,” she said.

Donor Asociaciรณn de Alumnas de Poveda (AAP) expressed gratitude to MWF for helping the typhoon relief effort in an Instagram post.

“Manila Water Foundation, thank you for assisting us in making everything go smoothly and with so much love!” it said.

The Manila Water Foundation is appreciative to its contributors and partners for assisting Filipinos “during this trying period.”

P&G Safeguard Philippines, ABS-CBN Foundation, AAP, Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Healthy & Pure Drinking Water, Lalamove, Shopee Xpress, Manila Water and its business units Boracay Water, Cebu Water, Laguna Water, and Clark Water, as well as the local governments of Cebu, Bohol, Southern Leyte, Siargao, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao City are among them.
